IAPOA Members; On Saturday May 7th, the the Irish American Police Officers Association of Massachusetts (IAPOA) will hold its 17th Annual Awards Dinner at the Malden Irish American Club, 177 West Street, Malden, MA. The program and dinner will commence at 7:00 PM and cocktail hour will be from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. As is customary, there will be performances by the (IAPOA) Pipe and Drum Band and the Goulding School of Irish Dance step-dancers. Our mission for the dinner is to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of our members and local law enforcement officers during the previous year, and to honor those who died in the performance of their duties. This year we have a total of (18) recipients from the (9) law enforcement agencies who will be honored at this year?s event. The complete list of recipients is as follows: 2016 IAPOA AWARD RECIPIENTS Medal of Honor Officer Glen Briley - Everett Police Department (Posthumously) Medal of Valor Officer Stephen Emery - Lynn Police Department Medal of Valor Detective Brian Ball - Boston Police Department Officer James Conley- Boston Police Department Officer Brian Johnson - Boston Police Department Officer Janet Lewis - Boston Police Department Officer Dennis Medina - Boston Police Department Officer John Moynihan - Boston Police Department Trooper William Cameron - Massachusetts State Police Investigative Award Lieutenant J. Christopher Neville - Wilmington Police Department (Retired) Commonwealth of Massachusetts Fusion Center Humanitarian Award Sergeant Phillip Matthews - Massachusetts Department of Correction Lifesaving Award Sergeant Raymond Mooney - Woburn Police Department Lifesaving Award Officer James MacGregor - Everett Police Department Lifesaving Award Officer Joseph Curley - Lynn Police Department Lifesaving Award Officer Chad Collins - Lowell Police Department Meritorious Service Award Officer Paul Jackson - Quincy Police Department Officer John Leuchte - Quincy Police Department Officer Kenneth Wood - Quincy Police Department If you would like to attend the Dinner to support your colleagues and friends, tickets are $40.00 per person and pre-paid tables of ten may be reserved for $375.00. Additionally, to help defray the cost of this event, the (IAPOA) is seeking sponsors to place an advertisement in our Awards Dinner Program. To place an advertisement, memorial, or congratulatory message for any of the recipients, the attached advertisement form can be completed and forwarded along with payment to the prior to May 1, 2016. If you may know of any potential sponsors for an advertisement, please forward them this email with the attached form.
